Branda Miller is a Professor of Media Arts at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). She is an internationally recognized media artist, Emmy award-winning editor, and community organizer. Her work spans media production, education, and public art projects addressing sustainability and participatory action research. Miller also serves as Arts and Education Coordinator at The Sanctuary for Independent Media and leads the 'Found Art in North Troy' project funded by NEA and other grants.
Her research focuses on media literacy, community engagement, and the intersection of technology with artistic expression. Notable projects include Capital Region Youth Voices (2011), I.R.A. (2000), and collaborations with youth and community groups since the 1980s. Her work has been showcased at MoMA, The New Museum, and festivals like BANFF and Taos Talking Pictures.
