Tulu Bayar is a Professor of Art & Art History at Bucknell University. She holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Ankara and an M.F.A. in Photography and Electronic Media from the University of Cincinnati. Her work spans solo and group exhibitions across the U.S. and Europe, including venues like Pratt Manhattan Gallery, the Textile Museum in D.C., and Galerie Image in Denmark.
Bayar has received notable artist-in-residency grants, including the William Sackett Fellowship and support from the Tenot Foundation and the Andy Warhol Foundation. Her practice focuses on contemporary art, photography, and textile-based explorations of cultural identity and social truths, particularly through collaborations with millennials.
