Bradley Brummel

Bradley Brummel, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Houston, where he also serves as Director of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program and Director of the Research on Ethics and Leader Identity, Growth, and Narratives (REaLIGN) Laboratory. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Calvin University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously, he served as Past President of the Society for Psychologists in Leadership.

His research focuses on leadership development, professional ethics, cybersecurity awareness, workplace mindfulness, narrative coaching, and the intersection of personality with organizational behavior. Specific areas include dark personality dynamics, sexual harassment prevention, employee engagement, and talent development strategies. He also works with clients as a coach using assessments and narrative techniques.

Brummel has published extensively in journals such as Journal of Business and Psychology and Human Relations, with recent work addressing cybersecurity behavior, ethical leadership, and training methodologies. His scholarship bridges organizational science, industrial-organizational psychology, and applied ethics.

His affiliations include roles in professional organizations and editorial boards, and he actively contributes to interdisciplinary research initiatives at the University of Houston.
