Dr. Brad Lamphere is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Mary Washington. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and completed postdoctoral research at North Carolina State University before joining UMW in 2016.
His research focuses on the ecology and evolution of freshwater fishes, particularly how introduced species influence native aquatic ecosystems. He teaches courses including BIOL 260 (The Research Process), BIOL 322 (Animal Ecology), BIOL 425 (Vertebrate Zoology), and BIOL 426 (Biology of Fishes).
