Brad Clark is a Lecturer in Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Canberra, affiliated with the Sport & Exercise department and UCRISE (University of Canberra Research Institute for Sport and Exercise). He completed his PhD in 2014 at Federation University Australia, focusing on the physiology of training and testing for competitive cyclists, and previously earned his Bachelor's degree there in 2010.
Dr. Clark's research explores applied sports physiology, with a focus on:
- Heat acclimation and thermoregulation in athletes
- Performance optimization in hot environments
- Bowling biomechanics in cricket
- Recovery interventions and endurance metrics
- Hydration monitoring technologies
His recent projects include developing a World Athletics heat stress index, managing jet lag in athletes, and studying the impact of humidity on self-paced exercise performance. He supervises PhD students in sports physiology and collaborates with researchers like Dr. John Périard and Dr. Kate Pumpa.
