Bowen Zhou

Bowen Zhou, MD, PhD is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pathology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a resident physician in the Clinical Pathology Research Track at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He holds a dual MD/PhD from Case Western Reserve University, with prior research training at Princeton University and Columbia University. His academic career spans molecular biology, lipidomics, and cell death mechanisms.

Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on pyroptosis and inflammatory cell death pathways, particularly their roles in hematologic malignancies and therapeutic applications. His lab investigates gasdermin proteins, caspase activation, and inflammation-driven cell lysis using molecular, genetic, and pharmacologic approaches.
