Boucard Geoffroy is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, University of Poitiers, and serves as Vice-President of the Scientific Expertise Commission. He researches cognitive aging, executive functions, and neurotrophic mechanisms at the Aging and Psychopathology of Memory (ViPsyM) team, exploring how physical activity impacts cognition across age groups and pathologies like Parkinson's disease.
Research Focus
His work investigates: (1) Physical activity/sedentary behavior effects on cognition, (2) Age/pathology moderators (children to elderly, Parkinson's/cancer), and (3) Neurotrophic mediators (e.g., BDNF) of aerobic training. Key methodologies include actimetry, evoked potentials, and cognitive assessments of inhibitory control.
