Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boris Vulić serves as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Students at the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Đakovo, part of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. He is Professor of Dogmatic Theology and President of the Chair of Fundamental, Dogmatic and Ecumenical Theology within the Department of Holy Scripture and Systematic Theology. Dr. Vulić has held numerous academic and administrative positions since joining the faculty in 2009, including Head of Department and various university committee roles.
Dr. Vulić's research focuses on systematic theology, particularly theological anthropology, eschatology, and Mariology, with special attention to Christianity's role in European identity. His scholarly work demonstrates deep engagement with Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's theology, Hans Urs von Balthasar's thought, and contemporary theological challenges. His publications span academic journals, edited volumes, and monographs addressing fundamental questions of Christian faith and its dialogue with modern culture.
His recent publications show a consistent focus on theological anthropology, Mariology, and the intersection of faith and European identity. The articles demonstrate expertise in both historical theological traditions and contemporary theological discourse, with particular attention to figures like Joseph Ratzinger, Hans Urs von Balthasar, and C.S. Lewis. His work often bridges academic theology and pastoral practice, reflecting his dual role as scholar and church leader.

Dr. Vulić has mentored numerous doctoral, specialist, and diploma students, with several theses recognized as outstanding. He serves on multiple editorial boards including Communio (Croatian edition) and Diacovensia, and has led significant projects including the digitalization of the Đakovo-Osijek Archdiocese Gazette. His academic leadership extends to university-wide committees focused on academic standards, anti-nepotism measures, and interdisciplinary studies.
