Assoc. Prof. Boris Lazarević, PhD is an Associate Professor at the Department of Plant Nutrition, Division for Agroecology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb. His work focuses on plant physiology, ecophysiology, and nutrition, particularly under abiotic stress conditions.
- Education: PhD in Plant Physiology (University of Zagreb, 2013), MSc in Agriculture (University of Zagreb, 2007)
Research Interests center on understanding plant stress responses, optimizing crop productivity in adverse environments, and advancing plant phenotyping techniques. He has contributed to studies on aluminum toxicity in potatoes and biodiversity-based agricultural adaptation.
Projects include leading grants on grapevine virus research, potato cultivation under acidic soils, and agrobiodiversity networks. Significant funding sources include the Croatian Science Foundation and European Regional Development Fund.
Professional Activities involve memberships in the Croatian Society of Soil Science and Croatian Society of Plant Biologists since 2008. He has collaborated with institutions like ETH Zurich, University of Bern, and University of Nottingham.
