Boris Koroman

Assistant Professor Boris Koroman, Ph.D. holds a position at the Department of Croatian Literature within the Faculty of Philosophy at Juraj Dobrila University in Pula. He obtained his doctorate in 2014 and specializes in modern and contemporary Croatian literature, particularly focusing on transition narratives, cultural studies, and post-socialist discourses.

Research Interests: His work examines the intersection of literature and socio-political change, with emphasis on generational novels, worker literature under self-management, and spatial practices in industrial spaces. He explores post-Yugoslav cultural identity through lenses of transition studies and postcolonial theory.

Recent Research Trends: Recent publications analyze spatial narratives in industrial sites (BMW, Uljanik Shipyard), generational literary frameworks, and the remediation of socialist-era texts. His work frequently engages with post-socialist cultural memory and neoliberal capitalist discourses.
