Prof. Dr. Andrea Matošević is a full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. He co-founded the Center for Cultural and Historical Research of Socialism and specializes in cultural anthropology, ethnography, and documentary film studies. His research focuses on labor practices, socialist culture, industrial heritage, and Mediterranean studies. He holds a PhD in Ethnology (2010), Master's degree (2005), and undergraduate degree (2003).

Research interests include the anthropology of tourism, Yugoslav youth labor movements, industrial decline, and cultural memory. He received the 2020 Milovan Gavazzi Award for his book analyzing the 'Tapija' phenomenon in Pula.
Teaches courses on cultural anthropology, ethnography of industry, and intercultural studies. Active in research centers like the Interdisciplinary Center for Landscape Archaeological Research and the Center for Research on the History of the Northern Adriatic Population.
Key publications explore topics ranging from Istrian mining communities to the soundscapes of industrial strikes, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement with history, culture, and socio-political dynamics.
