She specializes in historical epidemiology, social history of disease, and 20th century European history. Her research focuses on pandemics like the 1918 Spanish Flu in Istria, medical humanities, and societal impacts of disease outbreaks.
Dr. Delić holds a PhD in Modern and Contemporary Croatian History (2013) from the University of Zagreb, and completed her undergraduate studies in History and Croatian Language and Literature at the same institution. Before academia, she taught history in Istrian high schools (2001–2005).
Her teaching includes undergraduate courses on contemporary history, totalitarian systems, and U.S. Cold War history, as well as graduate courses on the history of disease and prejudice/discrimination.
Publications emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to medical history, with notable work on mental health during pandemics and historical disease narratives. Her research combines epidemiological analysis with social and cultural history methodologies.
Dr. Delić's work bridges local Istrian case studies with broader European contexts, particularly examining how pandemics shape urban structures and societal behaviors. She regularly presents at international conferences and contributes to both Croatian and international academic journals.
