Boris Budiono is a Lecturer in Biomedical Science at the School of Dentistry and Medical Sciences, Charles Sturt University, where he teaches Molecular Biology, Human Genetics, and Pathophysiology to Medical Laboratory Science students.
Education: He earned a PhD in
- Cardiovascular Physiology & Molecular Biology (2017) from Griffith University’s Heart Foundation Research Centre
- Bachelor of Biomedical Science with First Class Honours (2009)
- Graduate Certificate in Research Management and GCLTHE (Graduate Certificate in Higher Education).
Research Interests: Focus on Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), and Cardiovascular Disease. His work spans:
- Qualitative research on Allied Health interventions for EDS/MCAS populations
- Phenolic compounds in purple rice/barley for mast cell stabilization
- Molecular mechanisms of EDS comorbidities with POTS and MCAS
- Exercise physiology (training/de-training) in mouse and human models
- Educational research on student retention and physiology teaching.
