Borbála Faragó is a Senior Lecturer at Central European University (CEU), holding dual appointments in the Center for Academic Writing and Undergraduate Studies. She teaches academic writing across BA, MA, and PhD programs in History, Philosophy, Gender, and Environmental Sciences and Policy. Her research focuses on contemporary poetry, migration, gender, ecocriticism, and the psychology of writing. She holds a PhD from University College Dublin and an MA from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest.

Her publications include a monograph on Medbh McGuckian and co-edited volumes like Times of Mobility: Transnational Literature and Gender in Translation (2019). She received the Marie Curie-Sklodowska Intra-European Fellowship and Government of Ireland Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Beyond academia, she serves as a couples’ counsellor and co-founded CEU’s poetry group That is Poetry.
