Dr. Bonnie Stewart is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor, specializing in Online Pedagogy and Workplace Learning. Her research explores digital belonging, data literacies, systemic change in education, and the ethics of AI, with a focus on the interplay between identity, institutional contexts, and the information ecosystem. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Prince Edward Island, an M.Ed. from Mount Saint Vincent University, and dual B.A. and B.Ed. degrees from Mount Allison University, complemented by a Certificate in Special Education.
Dr. Stewart’s work bridges digital and experiential education, emphasizing critical approaches to technology integration and participatory practices. She pioneered research on MOOCs and Twitter as academic environments, advocating for equitable digital practices and fair data cultures. Her recent projects address datafication in higher education and the ethical implications of generative AI in teaching and learning.
