Bonnie Reese is a Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching in the Design in Health Master’s program at the School for Design and Creative Technologies. She holds an M.A. in Design and has extensive experience as an experience strategist and human-centered design coach. Her work spans healthcare innovation, qualitative research, and strategic design across industries like agriculture, finance, and education.
Previously, Bonnie led projects at frog design (9 years) and Gensler (4 years), focusing on healthcare systems, public space activation, and post-COVID workplace well-being. She also served on the board of the Institute for Diversity and Civic Life and has a background in arts and performance, including a BESSIE Award in 1999.
Her research interests include health information delivery in Africa, community health worker systems, and the intersection of digital tools with the built environment. She has advised clients such as Dell Med, uShip, and Blackboard, emphasizing organizational self-sufficiency in research and strategy.
Award highlights include the BESSIE for her interactive media work. Bonnie balances her professional life with passions for ceramics, travel, and advocating for civic diversity initiatives.
