Bonnie Poksinska is an Adjunct Professor at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), specializing in Logistics and Quality Management. Her research focuses on quality development in public sector organizations, particularly healthcare and elderly care, aiming to improve service efficiency while reducing costs. She holds a PhD in Quality Technology and Management from Linköping University (2006), a master's degree in Strategic Planning from European University Viadrina (2000), and a teaching background in Lean production and quality management.
Her work bridges operations management, quality management, and service innovation. Notable research areas include applying Lean principles to healthcare, evaluating cross-cultural customer satisfaction metrics, and analyzing cancer care pathways. Poksinska has received several accolades, including the Best Paper Award at the 2010 QMOD conference and recognition for patient-centered service development studies.
Teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Lean production, Six Sigma, and quality management. She advises on healthcare service redesign, leadership practices, and public sector innovation. Current projects explore transitioning care from hospital to home-centered models for elderly populations.
