Dr. Bohdan Nosyk is Professor and St. Paul's Hospital CANFAR Chair in HIV/AIDS Research at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Health Sciences. He leads the Health Economic Research Unit at the Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes, focusing on economic evaluations and mathematical modeling of substance use disorders and HIV/AIDS prevention and management.
His research informs complex policy decisions through population-level evaluations in Canada, China, and the United States. Current projects analyze pharmaceutical interventions during dual public health emergencies (overdose crisis and COVID-19), opioid agonist treatment networks, and healthcare utilization patterns for chronic conditions.
