Bogumił Nowicki

Bogumił Nowicki is a full Professor of Musical Arts at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, where he serves as Head of the Piano Chamber Music Department. He holds the title of Professor of Musical Arts awarded in 2002 by the Poznań Academy of Music and maintains an active career as both educator and performer.

His research and artistic focus centers on piano performance and chamber music interpretation, with specialization in Classical repertoire—particularly Mozart's piano trios. Nowicki's pedagogical approach emphasizes technical mastery and historical authenticity, developed through his extensive international performance experience across 25 countries in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

His administrative leadership includes serving as Rector of the Poznań Academy (2005-2012) and Prorector for Artistic-Scientific Affairs (1999-2005), where he championed international collaborations and academic reforms.

Nowicki maintains active performance commitments as a soloist and chamber musician, notably co-founding the Chopin Trio which won the Special Prize at the 1986 Colmar International Chamber Music Competition for best Mozart trio interpretation. His discography includes complete recordings of Mozart's piano trios for Polish, German, and Japanese labels.
