Bogdan Czapiewski

Professor Bogdan Czapiewski is a renowned Polish pianist and full professor at the Department of Piano, Instrumental Faculty of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Born in Gdynia (1949), he studied under Professors Zbigniew Śliwiński, Jan Ekier, and Gyorgy Sebok. He holds international acclaim for his performances across Europe, Asia, and the U.S., including engagements at prestigious venues like the Palais des Beaux-Arts (Brussels) and Salle Gaveau (Paris). His repertoire spans Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and contemporary works. Czapiewski has recorded for major labels in Poland, Belgium, France, Germany, and Japan.

As an academic, he has been a faculty member since his studies, climbing the academic ladder to his current professorial role. His artistic achievements include winning the Grand Prix du Disque Liszt (1987) and multiple piano competitions. He remains actively involved in chamber music collaborations and orchestral performances with ensembles like the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra.
