Bobby Burkes

Dr. Bobby Burkes, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Georgia State University (GSU) within the College of Arts & Sciences. He specializes in biochemical and biological phenomena, focusing on molecular interactions with active/catalytic sites, molecular modeling, and molecular mechanics.

• Research Foci: Biochemical catalysis, hormonal interactions, gene intercalation, molecular geometry, electron density, and spectroscopic techniques (FT-IR, UV-Vis, NMR, Fluorescence).
• Training: Undergraduate students are trained in computational methods and spectroscopic techniques.
