Ömer TAMER is a Professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Sakarya University, specializing in nonlinear optical materials, molecular modeling, and spectroscopic analysis. His research integrates experimental and computational approaches to investigate metal-organic complexes and their optoelectronic properties.
Research Interests:
- Nonlinear optical (NLO) materials and their design
- Development of DFT/TD-DFT methods for molecular property prediction
- Synthesis and characterization of transition metal complexes
- Alpha-glucosidase inhibition studies for pharmaceutical applications
- Crystallographic and vibrational spectroscopy analysis
- Molecular docking for biophysical interactions

- Complexation effects on hyperpolarizability in Mn(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) systems
