Bob Slade is a Professor (Chemical Technology) and Professor Emeritus at the University of Surrey's Advanced Technology Institute within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He holds a DPhil (Oxon) and has over four decades of academic experience, including roles as Head of Chemistry and Acting Head of Schools. His research focuses on sustainable materials chemistry, electrochemical energy systems, and cross-disciplinary innovations.

Research Interests: Dr. Slade specializes in energy storage solutions, alkaline membrane fuel cells, alkali metal batteries, and advanced ceramic filtration technologies. Current projects include EPSRC-funded collaborations on electrochemical batteries, supercapacitors, and porous ceramic membranes.
