Bob Reader serves as an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Dallas Baptist University's Don and Linda Carter School of Business since joining the faculty in 2024. He teaches business law and technology entrepreneurship courses while leveraging his 30 years of industry experience.

Professor Reader's research focuses on practical applications of entrepreneurship at the intersection of technology, business law, and missional impact. His work emphasizes building scalable for-profit business models within missionary contexts, particularly through his nonprofit venture Emerging Fields which channels 100% of donations into gospel-focused enterprises targeting least reached nations.
With extensive real-world experience co-founding six technology startups and mentoring dozens more, he brings practitioner insights to classroom instruction. His unique nonprofit model demonstrates innovative approaches to sustainable missionary work through business development.
Professor Reader and his wife Mary have eight children (four still at home). His teaching philosophy centers on developing Christian business leaders committed to the Great Commission, excellence in business practice, and integrating faith with entrepreneurial innovation.
