Bożena Czernecka-Rej

Bożena Czernecka-Rej is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Logic, Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. She holds a habilitation degree (2015) and PhD (2000) in Philosophy of Logic. Her research focuses on logical pluralism, non-classical logics, and the philosophy of mathematics. She has authored two monographs and numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Roczniki Filozoficzne, Philosophy of Science, and Diametros.

Education: M.A. (1994) and PhD (2000) in Logic from KUL. Habilitation (2015) based on Pluralism in Logic: A Study in the Philosophy of Logic. Awards include Rector's recognitions for her habilitation thesis (2015) and doctoral work (2000).

Teaching includes formal logic, mathematical logic, and legal logic across multiple faculties. She co-organizes annual National Logic Competitions and Autumn Logic Conferences. Professional memberships include the Polish Philosophical Society and Polish Society for Logic and Philosophy of Science.

Publications emphasize logical pluralism debates, meta-theoretical issues in logic, and historical analyses of figures like Bocheński and Ajdukiewicz. Current research bridges philosophical foundations of logic with interdisciplinary applications in praxeology and mathematics.
