Stanisław Judycki

Stanisław Judycki is a full Professor at the University of Gdańsk's Faculty of Social Sciences, where he heads the Department of Metaphysics, Philosophy of Religion and Contemporary Philosophy. Previously, he held professorships at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) from 1983 to 2010. His academic journey includes an MA (1978), PhD (1984), and habilitation (1996) from KUL, with research scholarships at universities in Freiburg, Leuven, and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study.

His research spans epistemology, phenomenology, philosophy of mind, and philosophical theology. Key themes include critiques of naturalistic theories of mind, arguments for anthropological dualism, analyses of consciousness, and philosophical proofs for God's existence. His work integrates Husserlian phenomenology with contemporary debates in metaphysics and theology.

Recent publications (2019-2024) demonstrate a focus on metaphysical theology, ethics, and epistemology, with recurring examinations of divine attributes, human freedom, and the intersection of faith with philosophical reasoning. His scholarship consistently engages with existential questions about time, suffering, and moral foundations.
