Marek Słomka

Rev. Dr. hab. Marek Słomka, Professor at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), serves in the Department of Philosophy of Religion under the Faculty of Philosophy. His academic career spans roles including adjunct professor (since 2014), Rector of the Metropolitan Seminary in Lublin (2009-2015), and Consultant to the Polish Bishops' Conference (2010-2019). He earned his PhD (2003) and habilitation (2019) at KUL, complemented by theology (1996), philosophy (1999), and social communication (1995-1997) degrees.

Research interests center on the Philosophy of Nature, Philosophy of God, and the Science-Religion Relationship. His 15 most recent publications address topics like divine action in the scientific worldview, evolution-creationism debates, axiological dimensions of human labor, and theological responses to new atheism. Key journals include Religions, Roczniki Filozoficzne, and Ethos.
