Blake Steenhoven is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. His research focuses on investor and managerial decision-making in financial disclosures, employing experimental and qualitative methods. He holds a PhD in Management from Cornell University, an MA from Cornell, and a BBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Prior to academia, he worked as an auditor at KPMG and is a licensed CPA in Washington. His work emphasizes effective communication strategies in financial contexts, with recent emphasis on verbal/nonverbal behavior in disclosures.
