Bjørn Charles Dreyer is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Agder (Norway). His career spans over 25 years as a freelance musician, composer, and music producer, primarily focusing on guitar-based projects. He holds a Master of Music Performance from the University of Agder (2011), Sonology studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music (1993), and a Bachelor in Music Performance plus Science of Education from the Kristiansand Music Conservatory (1988–1991).
His artistic work includes over 150 recordings with various bands and artists, such as Mari Boine, Eivind Aarset, and Xploding Plastix. Notable compositions include ballets *Thirteen* (2001) and *Siri and Snelle Land* (2006), as well as scores for TV series like *Best Without The Ball* (2003) and documentaries like *Wocene – My Last Favorite* (2003). He has also created sound installations for institutions such as the Norwegian Mountain Museum and the Ryvingen Lighthouse Museum.
Research interests center on electronic music and collaborative artistic projects, with a focus on bridging traditional and experimental techniques. His recent works explore themes of sound installation, multimedia performance, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
