Dr. Birgit Herbers is a Researcher at the Department of German Medieval Studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn since April 2025. She has held research roles at multiple institutions, including the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (since 2011) and the Martin Luther University Halle/Saale (2001–2009). Her research focuses on historical grammar (word formation, morphology), lexicography, semantics, and medieval inscriptions, with a strong emphasis on corpus linguistics.
