Binu Thomas

Binu Thomas is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern's Advanced Imaging Research Center with joint appointments in Biomedical Engineering and Radiology. His research employs advanced MR techniques to study brain vascular function, metabolism, and physiology in aging, cognitive impairment, hypertension, and obesity-related dementia risk.

Recent work explores cerebral perfusion changes in Parkinson's, deep-learning hemodynamic mapping, and metabolic effects of bariatric surgery. His investigations focus on identifying neuroimaging biomarkers for early detection of neurodegenerative conditions and metabolic contributions to cognitive decline.
