Dr. Bilge Erdogan is an Associate Professor at Heriot-Watt University, affiliated with the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society and the Institute for Sustainable Building Design. She holds a BSc in Civil Engineering (2000) and an MSc in Construction Management and Engineering (both from METU, Turkey) and a PhD in Civil and Building Engineering from Loughborough University (2008). Her research focuses on Construction IT, strategic IT management, sustainability, collaboration environments, and organizational change management. She has contributed to over 40 publications and received the 2013 THINK LAB award for theoretical model rigor.
Key research areas include stakeholder management in sustainable construction projects, digital twin applications, and vision-based building energy modeling. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing environmental protection and sustainable development. Erdogan has participated in numerous workshops and conferences, including ESOF2014 and events on BIM and retrofitting.
