Bianca Varney

Ms Bianca Varney is a Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) and the Medicines Intelligence Research Program within the School of Population Health at UNSW Sydney. Her work focuses on real-world medicine use and safety, particularly in perinatal contexts and opioid-related research.

  • Bachelors of Science (Advanced), Honours in Immunology (USyd)

Her research harnesses linked large-scale healthcare data to address evidence gaps in medicine safety for high-priority populations, including women during pregnancy. Key areas include opioid dependence treatment, pharmacoepidemiology, and public health policy.
