Natasa Gisev

Associate Professor Natasa Gisev is a clinical pharmacist and Scientia Associate Professor at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. Her work focuses on leveraging big data and data linkage to assess medicine use and outcomes in vulnerable populations, including older adults and individuals with mental health or substance use disorders. She aims to improve the quality use of medicines and influence national/international policy in mental health treatment and opioid dependence services.

Her research involves collaborations with healthcare systems and policymakers to address critical gaps in pharmaceutical care. She is currently spearheading a program to establish evidence on long-term opioid prescription outcomes, such as dependence, overdose, and associated harms.
