A specialist in Kantian philosophy, Ancillotti's research focuses on the intersection of historical interpretation of philosophical classics with contemporary analytic methods. Her work explores Kant's theoretical philosophy, analytical Kantianism, modal epistemology, philosophical methodology, and philosophy of religion. She combines historical and philological work on the interpretation of classics from the history of philosophy with methods and metaphilosophical views from contemporary analytic philosophy.
Her recent publications demonstrate consistent engagement with Kant's methodological approaches, particularly examining his transcendental proofs and conceptual frameworks. The 2023 article on Kant's doctrine of definitions represents her most recent contribution to understanding the semantic foundations of Kant's transcendental analytic.
Ancillotti is actively involved in teaching, offering seminars with both introductory and advanced focus on topics from the history of philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of language. She combines frontal teaching with exercises and discussion rounds, with a focus on analyzing philosophical arguments, their logical and methodological aspects, and their dialectical and historical backgrounds. She is also a member of the Institute Council and serves as a subject advisor for BA and MA programs.
