Beverly Koller

Beverly Koller is an Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, affiliated with the School of Medicine. Her primary research involves creating and characterizing mouse models for human diseases using gene targeting techniques, with a focus on cystic fibrosis, allergic responses, asthma, and inflammatory diseases.

The lab employs homologous recombination and embryonic stem (ES) cell technology to introduce specific genetic mutations into mice. This approach enables in vivo studies of disease progression and gene function, particularly in immunology, genetic engineering, and biomedical research.
