Lee M. Graves

Lee M. Graves, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on understanding mechanisms of cancer drug resistance and developing novel therapeutic strategies.

Research Interests: Dr. Graves' lab investigates two primary areas: (1) kinome remodeling in response to targeted therapeutics using affinity chromatography, phosphoproteomics, and mass spectrometry, and (2) the imipridone class of anti-cancer agents (e.g., ONC201) and their interaction with mitochondrial peptidase ClpP. His work aims to elucidate how ClpP activation impacts cell metabolism, signaling, and immune responses in breast and pancreatic cancer cells, while exploring combinatorial therapies to enhance efficacy.
