Beverley Vollenhoven is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Monash University’s School of Clinical Sciences, affiliated with Monash Health. She is also a practicing clinician at Monash IVF and Southern Health, where she serves as Head of Gynaecology, and maintains a private practice. Her work bridges clinical care and research in reproductive endocrinology, with a focus on improving fertility outcomes and women’s health.
Her research interests include reproductive endocrinology, infertility, IVF techniques, uterine fibroids, menopause, and contraception. She investigates hormonal treatments for fibroids, embryo development in IVF, the impact of Depo-Provera on bone density, and early menopause in young women. Her recent work emphasizes the role of the endometrium in pregnancy success and the application of pharmacogenomics and machine learning in personalized IVF care.
Her recent publications reflect a strong focus on systematic reviews and clinical studies in reproductive health, particularly around menstrual biology, fertility preservation, and optimizing IVF outcomes. These works highlight trends toward non-invasive diagnostics, evidence-based implementation, and digital health solutions in women’s medicine.
