Dr Beverley Shields is an Associate Professor in Medical Statistics at the University of Exeter Medical School, with over 20 years of experience in diabetes research. She serves as the senior statistician for the Exeter Clinical Diabetes Research team and as a statistical advisor to the NIHR Exeter Clinical Research Facility. Her work focuses on diabetes classification and precision medicine in Type 2 diabetes, while supporting broader research across all aspects of diabetes.
