Betz King is a licensed clinical psychologist and associated faculty member in Saybrook University's Clinical Psychology program, specializing in humanistic approaches, spirituality, and human-animal interactions. She holds a PsyD from The Center for Humanistic Studies and has over two decades of experience in community mental health, substance use disorders, and homelessness. Dr. King is a founding member of SACRED (Saybrook Animal Care, Rescue, Education & Dialogue), focusing on human-animal relationships, and serves on APA Division 32's editorial board. Her research bridges existential psychology, ritual practices, and animal-assisted therapy. She also leads spiritual education programs, including the American Priestess/Priest Training Program, emphasizing consciousness and mystical development.
