Kirk Schneider is an Adjunct Professor in Humanistic Clinical Psychology at Saybrook University. A licensed psychologist, he is a leading figure in existential-humanistic and existential-integrative psychology. He co-founded and presides over the Existential-Humanistic Institute and is a Council Member and presidential candidate for the American Psychological Association (APA).
His expertise spans psychology, psychotherapy integration, and social healing. He received the Rollo May Award for outstanding contributions to humanistic psychology and is a Fellow of five APA divisions.
Dr. Schneider has authored/edited 13 books and over 200 articles/chapters. His work appears in Scientific American, The New York Times, and BBC World News.
