Dr. Bettina Heilmann is a Lecturer at the Chair of Comparative Education within the Institute of Education at Ruhr University Bochum. She holds a PhD in Education from the Faculty of Philosophy and Education (2021), an MA in Educational Media (part-time, University of Duisburg-Essen, 2005), and state teaching certifications (Primary Education, 1992–1995). Her research focuses on migration-related educational challenges, intercultural pedagogies, and equitable access for marginalized groups such as newly immigrated students, children of traveling families, and Sinti/Roma communities.
