Bethany Wiggin is the 2024-25 Currie C. and Thomas A. Barron Visiting Professor in the Environmental Humanities at Princeton University's High Meadows Environmental Institute. Her research bridges early modern German cultural history with the environmental humanities, focusing on climate education, energy transitions, and decolonial histories. Previously, she was a Professor of German and Director of the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities at the University of Pennsylvania, where she held appointments in Comparative Literature, English, and International Studies.
