Bethany Kerr is an Instructor in the Nursing Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), part of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She has been teaching Nursing Clinicals at MVNU since 2015, focusing on Medical-Surgical Nursing and clinical practice. Prior to her academic role, she worked as an inpatient wound, ostomy, and continence nurse from 2014 to 2022 following certification in Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing (April 2014).
Her professional experience includes a 6-year tenure as Chair of the Nurse Practice Council and certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Surgical Life Support (ASLS). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MVNU, aligning with her commitment to nursing education and patient care excellence.
Bethany’s work emphasizes integrating clinical expertise with educational practice, reflecting her dedication to preparing future nursing professionals. Her certifications and roles highlight her specialization in wound care and surgical nursing, alongside leadership in nursing practice standards.
