Beth Homan is a Professor of Theatre Arts at Catawba College, where she has taught since 2003. She specializes in devised and collaborative theatre, feminist pedagogy, and gender studies, with a focus on Anne Bogart's Viewpoints and Tectonic Theatre Project's 'Moment Work.' Her teaching spans theatre history, acting, directing, and period performance.

Her research and creative work emphasize experimental theatre, including directing original pieces like Machine Play and a devised adaptation of As I Lay Dying. Beth actively contributes to Catawba's Honors Board and teaches Honors/First-Year courses.
Her directing highlights include works by Tennessee Williams, Tom Stoppard, and Sarah Ruhl, alongside experimental operas and new plays. She advocates for feminist pedagogy and movement techniques in performance education.
