Dr. Beth Casey is a Research Fellow in the School for Business and Society at the University of York, where she contributes to the SCENE research project addressing social isolation in psychosis patients. Previously, she held a Research Associate role at Glasgow Caledonian University (2014-2015) focusing on Functional Family Therapy implementation. She holds a PhD from Durham University, exploring child neglect through Foucauldian and feminist frameworks.

Research Interests: Her work centers on child neglect, gender dynamics in social work, and evaluation of social interventions. She emphasizes incorporating marginalized voices into research, particularly families and service users. Recent projects include whole-system mental health service analysis and barriers to therapy implementation.
Grants & Collaborations: Active on multi-institutional SCENE project (University of York). Previously collaborated with Glasgow’s integrated health and social care team on FFT implementation. Research team includes Prof. Martin Webber and Drs. Kayonda Hubert Ngamba and Cheyann Heap.
Labs/Teams: Works within the SCENE research group and the Parenting and Family Support Research Programme at Glasgow Caledonian University.
