Beth Anne Jones

Beth Anne Jones is a Lecturer and Research Scientist in the Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health. She serves as Inaugural Director of the Cancer Screening & Prevention Program and has held leadership roles in the Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center and CT Cancer Partnership.

Her research focuses on racial/ethnic disparities in cancer screening, prevention, and outcomes, with emphasis on mammography, colorectal, and cervical cancer. She investigates socioeconomic, clinical, and molecular factors influencing survival disparities in breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers. Her work integrates implementation science to address systemic barriers in vulnerable populations, particularly during the pandemic.

Recent publications highlight randomized trials on lifestyle interventions for chemotherapy completion in breast cancer patients and disparities analysis in Latin American women. She has secured grants like the CURE Award to promote youth cancer research and led community outreach initiatives reaching 100,000+ annually with multilingual health messaging.
