Rong Wang is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Chronic Disease Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health. She holds a PhD from Yale University (2008) and focuses on cancer epidemiology, particularly hematopoietic malignancies, environmental health factors, and aging populations. Her work examines treatment patterns, health disparities, and the interplay between genetic and environmental exposures in cancer risk.
Her recent research explores associations between ambient temperature, air pollution, and cancer incidence, as well as disparities in colorectal cancer screening post-COVID. She collaborates with teams in the COPPER Center and Gastric Cancer Prevention and Screening Lab, utilizing national databases like SEER-Medicare for longitudinal analyses. Her findings inform public health policy and cancer prevention strategies.
