Berry Gérard is a distinguished Professor at Collège de France, holding the Chair in Algorithms, Machines, and Languages since 2012. He previously served as Director of Research at INRIA Sophia Antipolis and Chief Scientist at Esterel Technologies. His academic journey includes roles at École des Mines de Paris and École Polytechnique. Gérard specializes in models of computation, programming language design, and synchronous systems. He has contributed significantly to the development of the Esterel language for embedded systems and formal verification techniques.
