Bernd Sturmfels

Bernd Sturmfels is a full Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. He has held academic positions at leading institutions including the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig. His research spans Computational Algebraic Geometry, Combinatorics, Algebraic Statistics, and Nonlinear Algebra.
